Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant to come on stream in spring
TEHRAN, March 6 (MNA) – The Bushehr nuclear plant will come on stream during the first three months of the next Iranian calendar year which begins on March 21, MP Kazem Jalali said on Friday.
The Russian contractor has promised to complete the outstanding project until the spring, Jalali quoted Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Director Ali-Akbar Salehi as saying.
Moscow agreed to build the nuclear power plant in 1995 and the project was supposed to be completed in July 1999, but the start-up of the reactor has been postponed several times.
