Iran’s intelligence system is impeccable: president
TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described Iran’s intelligence system as strong and robust one.
Ahmadinejad who was meeting with directors, deputies and personnel of the Intelligence Ministry on Saturday praised the impeccable performance of the Iranian intelligence forces.
The president referred to the arrest of Jundullah terrorist leader Abdolmalek Rigi by Iranian security forces as a humiliating defeat for those who support terrorist acts in Iran, particularly the United States, Britain, and Israel.
Rigi, the leader of Jundullah terrorist group, was arrested aboard a Kyrgyz airliner en route from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan on Feb. 23.
Rigi has made confessions that the intelligence services of Britain, the U.S., and certain other countries have backed his group’s terrorist activities in Iran.
Elsewhere in his talks, the president stated that “the U.S and NATO invasion of Afghanistan was an attempt to rescue liberal democracy and capitalism.”
He went on to say that “the September 11 attacks was a preplanned scenario and the result of a coordinated attempt by U.S. intelligent organizations.”
“The September 11 attacks were a lie that was used as pretext to pave the ground for the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan,” Ahmadinejad added.
