Rigi’s confessions unveiled true face of terrorism: Iranian minister
TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) – Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar has said that confessions of Jundullah terrorist leader Abdolmalek Rigi unveiled the true face of the self-professed supporters of human rights and the fight against terrorism.
“Rigi’s confessions have shown the widespread and pervasive support of Western intelligence services for terrorist activities in the region,” Najjar stated.
Najjar who was talking to a number of Interior Ministry personnel on Saturday, reiterated the importance of remaining vigilant in the face of conspiracies against the Islamic Republic.
“Over the last 30 years (following the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979) Iran’s enemies have sought every opportunity to harm our revolution,” Najjar noted.
“The Islamic Republic’s system is built based on morality and Islamic values, and the Iranian people have always been present in various scenes to support the revolution,” the minister explained.
