Iran's steel exports hit $476m
TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) -- Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) announced that steel exports in the 11-month period ending February 19 topped 1.6 million tons worth $476 million.
According to the IMIDRO report, steel exports volume and value had respectively increased by 103 and 1 percent compared to the same period in the last year.
IMIDRO noted that steel plants affiliated to the organization produced 9.7 million tons of raw steel which is 3 percent more than last year, and steel products manufactured during this time reached 9.2 million tons.
