Iranian paintings adorn Italy’s Palazzo di Venezia

TEHRAN, March 7 (MNA) -- Rome’s Palazzo di Venezia is playing host to an exhibition of paintings and calligraphy by Iranian artists under the title “Manifestation of Feeling”.

A collection of 70 artworks by 50 Iranian artists in painting, calligraphy, and calligraphy-painting were put on display on February 20 and will be on show until March 14.

Several teahouse paintings and intarsia works are also spotted among the artwork on display.

Artwork by masters Khosro Roshan, Ali Shirazi, Ali-Akbar Kermani, Mohammad Movahhedian, Ali Jamshidi, and Ahmad Aryamanesh are exhibiting in the show where about 100 visitors are attending daily.

Iranian students residing in Rome accompanied by their foreign friends come to visit the show every day, Akbar Qoli, an official from the Iranian embassy in Rome told the Persian service of IRNA.

The exhibit is also being warmly received by Iranian and Italian artists, private collectors and tourists, he remarked.
