Yemen-mobile to accommodate new 1 mln subscribers

SANA'A, June 28 (Saba)- The chairman of the Yemen-Mobile company Ali Nasari has revealed that the company would expand its
network in order to accommodating one million subscribers.

Nasari said that the total cost of the expansion would reach $17 million, noting
that two Chinese and S. Korean firms would implement the project that was recently
approved
by the higher committee for bids.

"The project includes the expansion and development of communication systems, the
main components of the company and setting up new coverage stations in various
provinces
of the country", added Nasari.

He affirmed that the expansion project aims to promote the company's capacity,
attract new subscribers, develop the services to its subscribers and spread out
coverage.

He noted that the number of the Yemen-mobile's subscribers is now 1,700000
subscribers.
