Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology says that in February maximum precipitation was 14.4 mm in Bulgan soum of Khovd aimag. The absolute high air temperature reached 13.2°C in Khanbogd soum of Umnugovi aimag, whereas the absolute low air temperature was -50.0°C in Tes soum of Uvs aimag, and the highest cover of snow was 103 cm in Ugtaal soum of Tov aimag. Maximum wind speed reached 34 m/sec in Tonkhil soum of Govi-Altai aimag and in Bulgan soum of Umnugovi aimag in February 2010.
The concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the maximum allowable concentration of air quality standards 13 times more around the 1st micro district, 19 times around the 13th micro district, 15 times around the 32nd Circle, 18 times around the Palace of Officers and one time more in Darkhan soum of Darkhan-Uul aimag. The sulphur dioxide exceeded 24 times more around the Khan-Uul district, 18 times around the 1st micro district, 25 times around the 13th micro district, 17 times around the 32nd Circle and 21 times around the Palace of Officers. The particulate matter less than ten micrograms exceeded 27 times more around the 1st micro district and 22 times around the 13th micro district in the Ulaanbaatar city in February, 2010.
In addition to it, the particulate matter less than ten micrograms exceeded 27 times more in Darkhan soum of Darkhan-Uul aimag.
