Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ In the first two months of 2010, 549.4 thousand passengers by duplicated number and 2425.5 thousand tons freight were carried by railway transport.
Against the previous year, the carried passengers increased by 36.3 thousand persons or 7.1 per cent, and the carried freight increased by 424.4 thousand tons or 21.2 per cent. In the first two months of 2010, 43.9 thousand passengers by duplicated number and 237.0 tons freight were carried by the air transport. Against the previous year, carried passengers increased by 9.9 thousand people or 29.0 per cent, and carried freight increased by 53.8 tons or 29.4 per cent.
In the first two months of 2010, the total revenue of railway and air transportation reached MNT 51.1 billion which were increased by MNT 9.3 billion or 22.2 per cent compared with the same period of the previous year.
