LIVESTOCK LOSS IN FIGURES
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ In the first two months of 2010, a total of 3,397.4 thousand adult animals were lost, of which 2.1 thousand were camels, 110.7 thousand were horses, 186.4 thousand were cattle, 1,196.2 thousand were sheep and 1,901.9 thousand were goats equaling to 7.7 percent of the total livestock at the beginning of the year.
Out of losses of the adult animals, 56.0 per cent were the goats. In the first two months of 2010, the total losses of adult animals exceeded the whole year losses since the year of 2002. It was 3.7 times more compared with the average losses since 2002.
