Iran held by UAE in Tehran
TEHRAN, March 10 (MNA) -- Iran’s Esteghlal was held to a goalless draw by Al Jazira of the UAE here at the Azadi Stadium in an ACL competition on Tuesday.
In Group A, the reigning Iranian champion Esteghlal hosted the Emirati team but failed to beat it.
Esteghlal had defeated Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia 2-1 in its opening match in Jeddah.
Sepahan in Group C, another Iranian representative, is scheduled to meet the UAE’s Al Ain in Isfahan, and in Group D Mes will play Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
