Iranian woman athlete dreams of leading her country’s football
TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) – The former Iranian women’s national football team captain plans to help her team advance in Asia.
“I wish to lead the country’s women’s football to a high station. This is my goal,” Niloufar Ardallani said to the-afc.com.
“I would like to set up an Iranian women’s football academy and build up on fresh and young talent from the age of 6 to 17,” she stated.
“I believe Iranian women’s football can flourish with a strong foundation at grass roots level through a youth development program,” Ardallani pointed out.

“As the former national team captain I believe that I understand women’s football better than many people,” she said.
“I want to coach at the highest level and become a role model for Iranian women footballers and coaches,” Ardallani added.
