RF, India to develop coop in peaceful use of atomic energy-PM.
NEW DELHI, March 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia and India intend to develop
cooperation in the peaceful use of atomic energy, Russian Prime Minister
Vladimir Putin said during an Internet-conference with representatives of
the Indian public on Friday.
"One of the most important and perspective direction of our
cooperation is the peaceful use of atomic energy. It has a complex
character and includes scientific researches, supplies of nuclear fuel and
utilization of nuclear wastes," he noted.
As Putin stressed, ensuring of safety is an important factor in the
given field of bilateral cooperation. At the same time he stressed that
"Russian modern reactors are considered to be the most safety in the
world." As a whole, according to the Russian prime minister, atomic energy
is more ecological than any other one.
