RF, India PMs to discuss higher education certificates recognition.
NEW DELHI, March 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir
Putin pledged to discuss with his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh the
mutual recognition of higher education certificates. "We will discuss this
issue obligatorily at the negotiations today," the Russian premier said at
an online conference with the Indian public here on Friday.
Putin acknowledged that this unsettled problem affects negatively the
bilateral cooperation in education. "Some slowdown in cooperation is
observed currently. We should deal with it somehow," Putin pointed out.
The premier recalled that about 4,000 Indian students study in Russia
currently.
