VP leads UAE to win British endurance championship



London, June 30, 2008 (WAM) - Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, led the UAE riders to win the first European Endurance Championship - 120km, held Friday at Houston Park district in Britain.

Led by Sheikh Mohammed, the UAE team included Sheikh Rashid Dalmuk bin Jumaa Al Maktoum and Abdullah bin Hazem.

This victory follows the International Syrian Endurance Championship won last month by Sheikh Mohammed.

The victory is a warm up for the World Endurance Championship, which will be held in Malaysia in November.

Teams from France, Britain, Australia and Emirates
took part in the race.
