Moscow police deny fight between street cleaners
MOSCOW, March 14 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow police have denied the reports
about a mass fight involving street cleaners in the southwest of the city.
"The information disseminated by some media outlets does not correspond to
reality," duty officer at the city police information department Arkady
Bashirov told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
"A call came to a police station at 10:15, Moscow time, alleging a
mass fight near House 11, Brusilovskaya Street (southern Butovo). A police
detail that arrived at the scene reported that there had been no fight.
However, there was a conflict between representatives of utility services.
"Some ten street cleaners at the scene assured the police that no one
had been fighting... there were no injured people or grievances against
each other.
Earlier, several media outlets claimed that some 40 utility services
personnel had started a fight between themselves in southwestern Moscow,
using spades and crowbars against each other.
