LAHORE CHAMBER TO SEND 35-MEMBER DELEGATION TO MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) -- The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and
Industry, Pakistan will send a thirty-five-member delegation on a four-day visit
to Malaysia starting tomorrow.

In a statement here Monday, the Pakistan High Commission's commercial
counsellor, Wajiullah Kundi, said the delegation would be led by the chamber's
former senior vice president, Sohail Lashari,

"The delegation will explore joint industrial and marketing opportunities
and identify potential areas to enhance Pakistan-Malaysia trade," he said.

Wajiullah said the delegation members were expected to hold meetings with
the members of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers and the Associated
Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia.

The members are involved in sectors such as agriculture machinery and
implements, paper and board, iron and steel, electronics and motor vehicles,
live stocks and poultry, importer of used heavy agricultural machinery, importer
of electronic surveillance and security systems, power generation and solar
energy, manufacturer of cables machinery, dairy and livestock-related machines
and embroidery works.
