RF favours NKorea`s call for ending hostile ties with US-deputy FM.

PYONGYANG, March 17 (Itar-Tass) - Russia favours the position of North
Korea that called for an end to hostile relations with the United States,
North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kun Sun Un said in an interview with
Itar-Tass after his official visit to Moscow this month.
In Moscow the North Korean diplomat exchanged opinions on possible
cancellation of the UN Security Council's sanctions against North Korea
that "hamper to translate into practice North Korea's proposal for
concluding a peace treaty" to replace a ceasefire that ended the 1950-53
Korean war.
Kun Sun Un stressed that "the Russian side confirmed its readiness to
contribute to the resumption of the six-party talks on denuclearization of
the Korean Peninsula."
In January North Korea's Foreign Ministry in a new year message said
it was committed to making the Korean peninsula nuclear-free through
negotiations.
The Ministry underlined that the resumption of the six-party talks
will be possible after the sanctions against Pyongyang that the latter
describes as the source of discrimination and distrust are lifted.
