China`s vice president to visit Russia March 20-24 - envoy.
MOSCOW, March 17 (Itar-Tass) - China's Vice President Xi Jinping will
visit Russia on March 20-24, China's ambassador to Russia Li Hui told a
news conference on Wednesday.
"Xi Jinping will make an official visit to Russia at the invitation of
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and will take part in unveiling the
second Russian-Chinese inter-party dialogue and the Year of the Chinese
Language in Russia on March 23," he said.
"China's Vice President will visit Vladivostok and St. Petersburg.
During his stay he will hold several meetings and talks with the Russian
leadership to exchange opinions on the implementation of the agreements on
stronger strategic interaction and partnership between Russia and China,"
Li Hui said.
The Chinese diplomat expressed confidence that "the first visit of
China's Vice President Xi Jinping to Russia will give a fresh impetus to
comprehensive development of good neighbourly relations, friendship and
business cooperation between the two countries."
