YSCC preparatory committee meeting concluded
SANA'A, 02 July (Saba) - The preparatory committee for 19th round
of the Yemeni-Saudi Coordination Council (YSCC) confirmed on its
final meeting on Monday in Sana'a the necessity to strengthen
exerted efforts to extend and improve existing and future
cooperation in the various fields between the two countries.
The committee's two-day meeting co-chaired by deputy Minister of
Planning and International cooperation for International Cooperation
Sector Hisham Sharaf Abdullah and advisor of Saudi Royal Divan
Sheikh Mohammed al Hadithy, approved minutes of the meetings
including issues to be submitted to the 19th YSCC meeting.
The minutes included agreements aim to boost cooperation between
Yemen and Saudi Arabia, particularly in developmental fields within
a number of memos of understanding and agreements relating to
developmental projects in Yemen financed by the Saudi $1 billion
pledges announced in the London donors conference.
The committee confirmed the necessity of promoting trade and
industrial cooperation within further efforts to increase trade
exchanges between the two countries.
It also emphasized the need to boost the activities of private
sector in both countries through arranging visits of trade
delegations, holding trade exhibitions and seminars and conferences,
activating the role of the Yemeni-Saudi businessmen Council to serve
trade movement between the two countries and encouraging Yemeni and
Saudi businessmen to set up joint investment projects.
They also agreed to boost the cooperation in fields of technical
education and vocational training, higher education and scientific
research between both countries.
