Condition of Yemeni detainees in Gountanamo discussed
SANA'A, July 02 (Saba)- Deputy minister of Human rights Ali Tisyer
held a meeting with US delegation of state and defense departments
over condition of Yemeni detainees in Gountanamo Bay.
They also discussed cooperation between the two countries in fields
of human rights and combating terror.
Tisyer renewed a request of Yemen from United States to hand over
all Yemeni detainees in the bay and readiness of Yemen to set a
trial against any one of them in case of finding our evidence of his
involvement in terror acts.He pointed out to efforts of Yemen in
combating terrorism and its support for international community to
face "this epidemic" that threatens whole world.
The delegation highlighted Yemen's efforts to develop its laws
associated with combating terror, pointing out to the dialogue
adopted by Yemen with extremists and terror suspects.
Meanwhile, Tisyer held a meeting with the delegation of Doctors
Without Borders (MSF) over a report of the organizations over
refugees came to Yemen from Somalia and African horn.
The delegation praised humanitarian role of Yemen to welcome and
offer care for refugees in spite of hard economic situation in the
country.
The delegation confirmed support of the organization for the
efforts to present health and humanitarian assistance for refugees.
