Guatemala president to tour St Petersburg on Tuesday.

ST PETERSBURG, March 23 (Itar-Tass) - President Alvaro Colom
Caballeros of Guatemala on Tuesday completes his official visit to Russia
with a one-day tour of St Petersburg. He will get acquainted with the
city's landmarks and meet with City Governor Valentina Matviyenko.
An official in the Smolny (the residence of the city governor and the
city administration) press service has told Itar-Tass that in the morning
the President of Guatemala will visit the Adelante center of the Spanish
language and culture on the Nevsky Prospekt (Neva Avenue). This is a major
cultural and educational institution which engages in the teaching of
Spanish and dissemination of the culture of Spain and Latin America in St
Petersburg.
Later in the day Alvaro Colom will tour the State Hermitage Museum of
Arts, visit the Church of the Saviour-on-the-blood and St Isaac's
Cathedral.
The business programme of the President of Guatemala in St Petersburg
provides for a meeting with the Governor of the City at Smolny to discuss
prospects for cooperation between St Petersburg and Guatemala.
