Over 20 Russian enterprises to display products at FIDAE.

MOSCOW, March 23 (Itar-Tass) - More than 20 Russian enterprises will
display their products at the FIDAE-2010 international exhibition of
military and aerospace technology, opening in Chile on Tuesday, an
official in the press service of the Federal Service for Military and
Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) has told Itar-Tass.
"Twenty-four Russian enterprises will take part in the work of the
exhibition arranged in the grounds of the Arturo Merino Benitez
international airport in Santiago. Products of military purpose will be
put on show by 16 organizations of the defence industry sector, including
six entities for military and technical cooperation: the Rostekhnologii
state corporation, the Rosoboronexport Federal state unitary enterprise
(FGUP), the Sukhoi open joint-stock company, the FGUP UOMZ production
association, the Oboronprom amalgamated production association, and the
KBP state unitary enterprise," the press service official specified.
In all, in FSMTC estimate, "On view will be 273 military purpose
exhibits, with 24 of them being full-scale specimens, including optical
electronic systems, optical and collimator sights".
"Civilian products will be displayed by seven enterprises that are
within the jurisdiction of the Roscosmos. The G.M. Beriyev TANTK open
joint-stock company is planning to show the versatile amphibian plane
Be-200 in a static parking area and in demonstration flights," the press
service official said.
FSMTC officials have expressed hope that "Russia's participation in
the FIDAE-2010 will contribute to the strengthening of cooperation and
business contacts with foreign partners in the field of military and
technical cooperation".
The FIDAE shows have been held since 1980 under the auspices of the
Chilean presidential administration and the government. The exhibition is
a major specialized military and civil aviation show in the region
featuring airport equipment and space technology.
This year the exhibition is expected to attract 410 companies.
Organizers' forecast is that more than 40 official delegations will visit
the exhibition which will run until March 28. The exhibition area is
82,000 square metres.
