Al-Hitar: mosques are for worshiping, not for political purpose

SANA'A, July 04 (Saba)- Minister of Endowments and Guidance Hamoud
al-Hitar warned on Thursday of using mosque's speeches for political
and personal purpose or upraise sectarian and political strife.

In an extended meeting for preachers of mosques in Sana'a capital,
al-Hitar said that mosques are for worshiping, and use them for
political interests would shift their message as religious centers
into places for spreading dispute and argument.

He urged preachers to hold on texts of Holy Koran and Sina and
reject radicalism, calling for adopting mediatory.
Preachers should be qualified persons who know religion well,
al-Hitar said.
