PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO ARRIVES IN SURABAYA FOR WORKING VISIT
Surabaya, March 29 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived at Juanda airport here at 9.15 on Monday morning for a three-day working visit in East Java until Wednesday.
From Juanda airport, the head of state and his entourage will take an overland trip to Malang with a stopover in Sidoarjo to have first hand information about Lapindo Brantas mud flow management at Porong.
President Yudhoyono's entourage is made up of among others First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung Laksono, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad, Communication and Information Minister Tifatul Sembiring, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.
In Malang, the president will attend national disaster management simulation at Abdurahman Saleh airport and visit agro-tourism site at Batu town on Monday to lead a tree planting activity as part of "one-million trees movement".
On Tuesday, the head of state is scheduled to open National Football Congress (KSN) at Ken Arok sports stadium where a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Youth and Sports Affairs Ministry and State Ministry for State Enterprises will be signed before the president.
Then on Tuesday afternoon, the president will watch a football game between Arema Malang soccer team and the team from State Administration College (STAN) at Kanjuruhan sports stadium.
East Java provincial administration's public relations spokesman Gunarto said that from Malang, the president would again take an overland trip to Pacitan, Kediri, Nganjuk, Madiun, and Ponorogo on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 as part of the president's working visit in East Java.
Gunarto said that after completing his East Java tour, the head of state would return to his hometown in Pacitan district for a while before returning to Jakarta.
