DMITRY MEDVEDEV MEETS AZERBAIJAN`s RELIGIOUS LEADERS

Baku, 04 July, (AzerTAj)President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev met Thursday with Azerbaijan`s religious leaders, including Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Head of Baku and All-Caspian Orthodox Eparchy, father Alexander, and, head of the Religious Community of Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan Semyon Ikhilov.

The Russian leader praised Allashukur Pashazade`s role in creating favorable conditions for the dialogue among various religious confessions in Azerbaijan.

President Dmitry Medvedev said during his meeting with the Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev they discussed bilateral cooperation in fighting against the international terror.

“The inter-confessional dialogue is very import in this behalf…” said Medvedev.

Allahshukur Pashazade said Azerbaijan is keen to develop cooperation and close relations with Russia.

Father Alexander and Semyon Ikhilov said Azerbaijan is the place where representatives of all religious confessions live in peace and harmony.
