RUPIAH WEAKENS 10 POINTS AGAINST US DOLLAR
Jakarta, March 30 (ANTARA) - The rupiah weakened against the US dollar in the Jakarta interbank spot market here on Tuesday morning on profit taking moves.
The Indonesian currency traded Rp9,080-Rp9,090 per US dollar, down 10 points from Rp9,070-Rp9,080 per US dollar at the market's close a day earlier.
Rully Nova, a foreign exchange analyst of PT Bank Saudara Tbk., said here on Tuesday that the rupiah's depreciation was normal after the local unit had strengthened over the past few days.
He, however, believed that the rupiah would move upward again as foreign investors were still interested in the Indonesian market.
