RUPIAH STABLE AGAINST US DOLLAR

Jakarta, April 1 (ANTARA) - The rupiah tended to be stable in the Jakarta interbank spot market here on Thursday morning as investors were waiting for further data on Indonesia's economy.

The Indonesian currency traded Rp9,090-Rp9,100 per US dollar similar to that a day earlier.

Investors were cautious in trading both rupiah and the greenback in the market, causing the market's activity to be slow, according to Edwin Sinaga, a domestic money market observer.

Foreign investors in particularly wanted to see Indonesia's economic data as the March 2010 inflation tended to be better and reached 0.07 percent, he said.
