Intergovt agreement on gas pipeline to be prepared in near future
ASHGABAT, July 5 (Itar-Tass) -Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will complete the internal state procedures in the near future to build a gas pipeline along the Caspian Sea, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said.
There is good cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan in the fuel
and energy sector, Medvedev said.
"We have considered the implementation of the joint declarations
signed last year on construction of a gas pipeline near the Caspian Sea
and development of existing gas transportation facilities in Central
Asia," he said.
The procedures must be completed in all the countries and an
intergovernmental agreement on gas pipeline construction and an agreement
on reconstruction of the existing gas pipelines must be prepared in the
near future, Medvedev said.
