Russia, Turkmenistan presidents to help holding 3rd Caspian summit

ASHGABAT, July 5 (Itar-Tass) -- The presidents of Russia and
Turkmenistan intend to assist in holding a third summit of the Caspian
littoral countries.

"The sides expressed the firm determination to implement consistently
the decisions (at the previous Caspian summits - Itar-Tass), and thus
create prerequisites for holding a third summit of the leaders of the
Caspian littoral countries," the presidents said in a common statement on Friday.

"The sides discussed in detail the Caspian Sea problems," stressing a
great importance of implementing the agreements reached at the previous
Caspian summits that are aimed at the soonest settlement of the Caspian Sea legal status.
