Boxing - INDONESIA'S CHRIS JOHN TO FACE CHALLENGER FERNANDO SAUCEDO
Semarang, Apr 5 (ANTARA) - WBA Super Champion Chris John will eventually have to face challenger Argentina`s Fernando Saucedo in a title fight in Bali scheduled on May 22, 2010.
"I have already been informed about my title fight of May 22 in Bali, against challenger Fernando Saucedo of Argentina," Chris John said in an SMS dispatch received by ANTARA in Semarang Monday night.
According to the fighter dubbed The Dragon, his coach and manager, was still trying to find a recording of Fernando`s fight.
"That is why I still don`t know how he fights. May later if I managed to get one of his video recordings, I would be able to decide on the strategy in facing him," the husband of former wushu athlete of Central Java Anna Maria Megawati.
In the list of rankings issued by WBA in February 2010, Fernando Suacedo is the 15th feather weight challengers.
Chris John is currently training at the Herry`s Gym in Perth, Australia, since the end of January 2010, and in the third week of February returned to Indonesia for a family matter.
By the end of February, he returned to Australia, but in the third week went home for a movie shooting in Kupang, and early in April went back to Australia.
Before leaving for Australia, the farther of two girls ((Maria Luna Ferisha and Maya Rosa Christiani), said his training in Australia will last until April 15, and then training in Banyuwangi or Bali until the title fight on May 22.
