No delays expected in Caspian pipeline construction: aide
ASHGABAT, July 5 (Itar-Tass) - No delays are expected in the
construction of the Caspian gas pipeline, Russian president's aide Sergei Prikhodko said on Friday. Prikhodko is part of the Russian delegation accompanying President Dmitry Medvedev in Ashgabat.
"We have intergovernmental agreements," he said. "We proceed from the
fact that ratification procedures on intergovernmental agreements will be
shortly completed in Russia," Prikhodko added.
"We envisage no delays in the implementation of that project, because the necessary contractual and legal basis has been created, and survey work has been done. We envisage no difficulties," he stressed.
