EURASEC IPA to discuss formation of CU legal basis.
ST PETERSBURG, April 6 (Itar-Tass) - The formation of a legal basis of
a Customs Union and a Common Economic Space being established within the
framework of the Eurasian Economic Community (EURASEC) is to be discussed
here at a regular session of the EURASEC Interparliamentary Assembly
(IPA).
An official in the IPA press service has told Itar-Tass that the
parliamentarians are to determine ways to monitor the process of bringing
national legislations of EURASEC countries into line with international
treaties signed within the scope of the Customs Union, and discuss
proposals on further standardization of normative acts in this sphere.
The IPA commission on economic and trade policies and international
cooperation is to present a concept of Fundamentals of EURASEC
Legislations on Banks and Investments for consideration by participants in
the session.
Those present at the IPA session are to endorse a programme for
lawmaking activities for 2010 and subsequent years and adopt a number of
model laws on Free Economic Zones, registration and transfer of
technologies, food-related security of EURASEC countries, as well as
control over the quality of medical aid and fundamentals of cultural
policy.
