Russian delegation to be among largest ones at Beijing Olympics
MOSCOW, July 5(Itar-Tass) -- The Russian delegation will be one of the largest delegations at the Summer Olympics in Beijing, Russian
Minister of Sports, Tourism and Youth Policy Vitaly Mutko said at a
meeting with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Friday.
"The preparations for the Olympics in Beijing are in full swing. We
hope that our delegation will be one of the largest delegations. About 500
our athletes will compete in 28 kinds of sports. We are making every
effort to hold this final stage at a high level," the minister pointed out.
