RI INVITED TO ENTREPRENEURS SUMMIT IN US

Jakarta, April 8 (ANTARA) - The United States is to host a Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship at the Ronald Reagan building in Washington DC on April 26-27 to which Indonesia has also been invited.

According to a press release received here on Thursday, US President Barrack Obama together with the Department of State and the Department of Commerce will host the summit inviting participants from over 40 countries including Indonesia.
The Summit will highlight the role of entrepreneurship in addressing common challenges while building partnerships that will lead to greater opportunity.

In his June 4, 2009, speech in Cairo, President Obama announced that the US Government would host a Summit on Entrepreneurship to identify how the US can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations, and entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.

Indonesian participants in the Summit will include Goris Mustaqim, Founder, PT Resultan Nusantara; Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, Director, PT Widjajatunggal Sejahtera; Sheila Tiwan, CEO, Carsurin; Ananda Siregar, Director, Blitzmegaplex; Sandiaga Uno, Founder, Saratoga Capital; Putera Sampoerna, Founder, Sampoerna Foundation; Benjamin Soemartopo, Managing Partner, McKinsey & Company Indonesia; Tri Mumpuni, Director Executive, IBEKA; Yuyun Ismawati, Co-Founder, Director, Balifokus and Ir. Ciputra, Founder and President Commissioner, Ciputra Group.
