State Duma to hold its final meeting in spring session July 5

MOSCOW, July 5 (Itar-Tass) --The State Duma will hold its final
meeting of the spring session on Saturday, July 5.

According to State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov, the lower house of
parliament has passed a record number of laws during the spring session -
about 140.

On Saturday, the lawmakers plan to discuss the second reading and pass
draft laws that will quadruple the financing of political parties,
increase budget appropriations for housing to war veterans, regulate the
issue of diplomatic passports to the heads of state-owned corporations, as
well as amendments to the Land Code.

Gryzlov will then sum up the results of the first parliamentary season
of the 5th State Duma.
