.President to appeal to Kyrgyz people - ambassador.

BISHKEK, April 8 (Itar-Tass) - Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev will
shortly appeal to the nation, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Russia Raimkul
Attakurov told AKIpress news agency on Thursday.
According to the ambassador, he had a telephone conversation with
Bakiyev. "Kurmanbek Bakiyev said he had not made an official statement on
his resignation. He intends to shortly appeal to the Kyrgyz people," the
ambassador stressed.
In reply to the question whether he knows the president's whereabouts,
Attakurov supposed that he could be in the south of the republic.
