Kazakhstan prioritises education and technical progress - Nazarbayev
ASTANA, July 5 (Itar-Tass) -- Kazakhstan gives special attention to
education and technical progress, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
Since 1992, "despite difficulties, we have sent 500 and now send as
may as 3,500 students to the best universities of the world. Currently
about 35,000 young Kazakhstani people are studying at 100 universities
across the world, including in Russia," he said in an interview with
Itar-Tass.
"About 2,000 of them have come back and work around me in all of our
companies. They use the same language as the Western companies we have to
work with. They know how to do it," the president said.
In his opinion, "All this creates a totally new category of people
with new views and ambitious tasks. Both Russia and Kazakhstan are facing
this now."
