Russia, Turkmen presidents to open KamAZ centre in Ashgabat

ASHGABAT, July 5 (Itar-Tass) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will end his official visit to Turkmenistan on Saturday.

During the second day of the visit, Medvedev and Turkmen President
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov will attend the opening of a KamAZ training and
service centre in Ashgabat.

On Friday, when reviewing Russian-Turkmenistani negotiations, Medvedev
said "the development of industrial cooperation" was on the bilateral
agenda.

He said, "A number of leading Russian companies companies have secured
their positions on the Turkmen market." Among them he named Gazprom,
Itera, KamAZ, Stroitransgas, and Pipe Metallurgical Company.

"There are bright prospects for new joint projects," Medvedev said.
Medvedev will leave for Astana, Kazakhstan, later in the day.
