TERROR SUSPECT KILLED IN ACEH

Banda Aceh, April 12 (ANTARA) - The National Police's Densus 88 anti-terror unit raided a house in Cot Iri, Aceh Besar, where alleged terrorist members were staying on Monday, killing one of them and arresting another.

The body of the terror suspect who was killed in the raid at around 1 p.m. was moved to Zainoel Abidin Hospital after it had been initially taken to the Bhayangkara Hospital in Lamteumen, Banda Aceh.

It was taken to the hospital by ambulance without heavy police escort.

In a separate incident, the police raided a shophouse in Beurawe, Kuta Alam, Banda Aceh, where they arrested three men suspected to be terrorists.

The raid that lasted about an hour went smoothly without any challenge, watched by villagers. The three then were put into a police truck with their faces veiled.

At the location the police confiscated one unit of CPU, documents and a Nissan car with plate number BK 9000. The location is now being sealed by police tape.

So far no official statement has been made by the police with regard to the raids and arrests.

Villagers said they did not believe that the shophouse which has so far been used as an office is actually a terrorists hiding place.
