OSCE, EU, UN ready to help Kyrgyzstan - Otunbayeva.
BISHKEK, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - The Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe, the European Union and the United Nations would
like to stretch a helping hand to Kyrgyzstan, but call for systematic
improvement of the situation in the republic, the head of the interim
government, Roza Otunbayeva, said on Monday.
"Having held several meetings with OSCE, EU and UN representatives, we
can say that all of them want to help Kyrgyzstan," she said after the
meeting with EU special envoy to the Central Asia, Pierre Morel.
The EU "registers dynamics towards improvement of the situation to the
better," Otunbayeva said. "The new interim government has to find a
national coordinator that will set priorities for the republic's
development."
Otunbayeva said she had instructed to open access to the republic's
mass media, which activities were suspended over the past several years
"under the political order."
