Argentina president condemns Moscow metro blasts.
BUENOS AIRES, April 15 (Itar-Tass) - Argentinean President Christina
Fernandez de Kirchner has denounced the recent suicide bomb attacks on the
Moscow metro.
"We want to once again express solidarity with the Russian people in
connection with the recent terrorist acts on the Moscow metro claiming the
lives of dozens of citizens," the Argentinean leader said at a joint news
conference with visiting Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
She noted that Argentina knows firsthand about terrorist attacks. A
total of 85 people were killed and about 200 were injured when an
explosion devastated the Argentinean Israelite Mutual Association in 1994.
Two years before that, on March 17, 1992, the Israeli Embassy was blasted
in Buenos Aires. Twenty-nine people were killed then, and over 200 were
wounded. Those behind the blast went unpunished.
