THREE KUDUS VILLAGES DECLARED ODF
Kudus, C Java, April 15 (ANTARA) - Three of the 132 villages in Kudus regency, Central Java province, had been declared open defecation free (ODF).
"The three villages are Colo, Kuwukan, and Japan in Dawe subdistrict, which means that all the villagers would not defecate at any place," environmental health division chief of the Kudus health agency Qiston said on the sidelines of the announcement of ODF villages in Kudus on Thursday.
He hoped that not only three villages had been declared to enjoy ODF status, but many other villages may also be entitled to a similar status.
"We will try our best to enable many other villages to follow suit," he said.
