FLASH FLOOD DAMAGES TWO HOUSES IN GARUT
Garut, West Java, April 16 (ANTARA) - A flash flood reaching a height of up to 80 cm, damaged two houses at Golangsing kampong, Mekarjaya village, Sukaresmi sub district, Garut District.
The flood was triggered by incessant heavy rains which have been falling in the area since Thursday afternoon, Dik Dik Hendrajaya of the Garut district administration, said here Friday.
A landslide caused by the flood buried two houses at Mulyajaya village, Banjarwangi district. Meanwhile, eight houses were on the verge of collapse as much of the land on which they stood had been eroded by the flash flood.
