HOT WEATHER STILL PREVAILS IN MEDAN
Medan, N Sumatra, Indonesia, April 18 (ANTARA) - Hot weather with a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celcius was predicted to prevail in Medan city, North Sumatra, till the next few days, an officer of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said.
"Other parts of North Sumatra may experience the same weather condition in the eastern coastal area which is predicted to be not so hot at around 34 degrees Celcius," spokesperson from the local BMKG, Firman, said here on Sunday.
He said that the hot weather had caused dryness to the air and winds blowing in Medan city with very little vapor. The condition, he added, was worsened by the small chance of raining over Medan.
