No insolvable problems between Russia, Tajikistan - Tajik deputy FM
.
19/4 Tass 136
DUSHANBE, April 19 (Itar-Tass) - Tajikistan is satisfied with its
bilateral cooperation with Russia, Tajikistan's First Deputy Foreign
Minister Abdullo Yuldashev said on Monday and described the Tajik-Russian
relations as constructive and partner.
"Relations with Russia are developing positively, in the constructive,
partner atmosphere," the Tajik diplomat told a news conference. "We have
no insolvable problems with Russia, even if such problems emerge."
"Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov's visit to Dushanbe
earlier this year has given a fresh impetus to the revival of cooperation,
primarily in the economic sphere," Yuldashev noted. "We consider Russia as
our strategic partner, if not for ever but for a long time."
Tajikistan was pursuing a multi-vector foreign policy, the Tajik
diplomat said, noting however China as his country's "key partner" among
countries other than former Soviet republics. According to Yuldashev,
Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover with China exceeded one billion U.S.
dollars in 2009. The diplomat also expressed satisfaction with the level
of relations with European countries and the United States.
