UK companies desires to invest in Yemen: UK ambassador says

SANA'A, July 07 (Saba) - The British ambassador to Sana'a Tim Torlot reviled on Sunday a real desire of the British companies to invest in Yemen.

During his meeting with Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel, Torlot
voiced his country's keenness on enhancing the commercial and economic relations
with Yemen.

The meeting dealt also with the investment opportunities in Yemen and the
possibility to establish investment joint companies between Yemeni and British
businessmen.

It also focused on preparations for holding a meeting for the two countries'
businessmen next year to be briefed on the investment opportunities and enhancing
the partnership
relations as well.

Al-Mutawakel affirmed the importance of exchanging visits among businessmen and
gaining advantage of the British experiences to qualify and improve the industrial
areas
and Free Zone in Aden.

He accentuated increasing the commercial exchange rates and encouraging the private
sectors in both countries to strengthen investment and commercial partnership ties,
confirming
the desire of the Yemeni government to enhance its relations with UK.
