OXFAM Australia helps 54 people living with AIDS

(KPL) THE Oxfam Australia has granted over 48 million kip to Setthathirath Hospital for the treatment of 54 people living with AIDS.

Most of the patients, being treated at the hospital, are women and children and some are blind due to AIDS.

The agreement on such grant was signed last Thursday at Setthathirath
Hospital, by Deputy Director of Setthathirath Hospital, Mr. Khampe
Phongsavath, and Representative of Oxfam to Laos, Mr. Khamluang Keoka.
Concerned officials of both sides and the patients witnessed the signing ceremony.
