BEIJING, April 20 (Itar-Tass) - The problem with Russian passengers,
stranded in Beijing over cancelling Moscow flights by Air China and Hainan
Airlines, starts gradually being settled: "the China Air Company resumes
flights to Moscow on Tuesday," Itar-Tass learnt from head of the consular
section of the Russian embassy in Beijing Leonid Ignatenko.
According to the consul, it is probable that additional flights will
be arranged by the Chinese company to fly all stranded Russian passengers
in Beijing, numbering over 300. Ignatenko also reported that the Hainan
Airlines are expected to resume flights to Moscow also on Tuesday.
Earlier, talks were in progress in Beijing on handing over Russian
passengers by the Chinese airlines to Aeroflot. However, conditions for
handing over were not agreed upon completely. On Monday, the Russian
consulate in Beijing stated that the crisis with Russian passengers had
emerged at the fault of the Chinese side, since the Moscow air space had
not been close for flights.
Air China has not been making flights to Moscow since April 16.
