Iran oil exhibit will speed up oil projects implementation

Tehran, April 21, IRNA -- Managing director of Persian Gulf Star Oil Company said Tuesday that the Tehran 2010 oil exhibition will help speed up implementation of oil and gas projects in the country.
Mohammad-Esmaeil Karachian told IRNA that the international oil exhibit will provide an opportunity for the international executives in upstream and downstream oil, gas and petrochemical industry to ink new agreements with Iran or speed up implementation of the projects underway in Iran in partnership with foreign companies.
Karachian said the 15th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition on April 22-26 in Tehran will be a proper response to the US and Western sanctions on Iran all of which proved “ineffective".
He added that the US and certain western states are trying to create obstacle to participation of international executives in the Iranian oil and gas projects.
The managing director hoped the Tehran oil show would bring about great achievements in petrochemical, oil and gas industries.
Analysts believe that the 15th International Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran with participation of more that 400 foreign companies is an indication of Iran’s active interaction with the international community and national strength./end
