UAE Cultural centre opened in Seoul

Abu Dhabi, July 7, 2008 (WAM) - In a bid to showcase the UAE culture,
heritage and modern development, the UAE Embassy in Seoul has opened a
cultural centre.

"Today, renovation works in the UAE Embassy have been
completed. Designed to feature the UAE's architectural heritage, the new
embassy premises will also house a UAE cultural centre", said UAE Ambassador
to S. Korea Abdullah Mohammed Abdul Wahid Al Mueina. The new centre which
will be located in one of the floors will serve to highlight the historical
role played for centuries by the UAE in cementing trade and cultural ties
between the East and West.

Speaking to WAM, Al Mueina said the establishment of the centre was
encouraged by the desire of the Korean people to learn more about foreign
colures, particularly about the UAE culture. The centre will be equipped
with a whole range of cultural and economic material that would be useful to
students, businessmen and tourists.
